Apps that issue in a filling of the Spirit only improve the odds of victory over the flesh (Galatians 5:16) and should be a welcome addition to every believer’s arsenal of weapons. How to incorporate the Spirit-anointed apps into an accountability-based purity program? Start by giving the men in your group a brief overview of A Way of Escape, with emphasis given to the need for (and nature of) the Spirit-anointed apps. Then give them a few weeks to individually find 2-3 Spirit-anointed apps to share with the group. A 10-man group will have 20-30 apps for the group to sample together. From these 20-30 apps, each man ought to be able to quickly build a Starter Library of 4-5 apps that consistently escort him into the presence of the Spirit. Galatians 5:16 provides the Biblical backing for confidently believing that repeated immersions in the Spirit in the six days between the weekly group meetings will speed rewiring of damaged neural pathways, shorten the timeline to healing, and greatly ease each man’s escape.
