Most Bible-based purity programs insist that flesh-starving accountability is the addict’s only way to escape a porn/sex addiction. (see www.wileygrafbooks.com/news/cure-for-cancer-v13). This despite Scripture’s clear teaching that there is another way of escape, a wholly Spirit-powered way (Galatians 5:16).
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).
That most Bible-based purity programs are not teaching wholly Spirit-powered escape from addictive lusts of the flesh is shocking! Shocking indeed! And is the very reason why A Way of Escape was written.
